| Wissenschaftlicher Assistent at the Institut für Angewandte Photophysik
(IAPP) |
| Leader of theExciton Spectroscopy Group |

|
Areas of Work: |
combined theoretical and experimental investigation of electronic
excitations in organic semiconductors, in particular:
- exciton models for quasi-one-dimensional molecular crystals
(e.g. PTCDA)
- mixing of Frenkel and Charge-Transfer excitons,
linear exciton-phonon coupling (Holstein models)
- spectroscopy of excitons and exciton dynamics in organic semiconductors
- time-resolved luminescence (streak camera) and pump-probe spectroscopy
- exciton diffusion and energy transfer

|
Geometrical arrangement of nearest-neighbor molecules
in the organic crystal MePTCDI.
The molecular planes are only 0.34 nm apart, which leads
to strong intermolecular interactions.

Ph.D. thesis, p. 7.
